Mechanism design is kinematics in the design world. It allows the user to move assemblies in a mathematical approach in reference to items such as linkages, slides, cams, gears, servo motors, and a variety of items to simulate absolute accurate movement to the design intent. It is a primary key in accurate animation for industrial devices, and it also evaluates the final design of any product to assure accurate movement throughout the entire assembly, thus reducing cost by avoiding redesigns after manufacturing prototypes.
